Checkatrade Abandoned Us in a Pinch

We were utterly reliant on Checkatrade to find us a competent expert for our repair job. We joined and advertised our requirements, but unfortunately, we were left in the lurch.

After/Upon/Following hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter from their platform, we ended up with a shoddy/subpar/messy job that cost us a fortune/ dearly/ an arm and a leg. Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.

It's clear to us that Checkatrade favors their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

Is Checkatrade a Scam?

We thought we were doing the right move by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so reliable with their qualified traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

Right away, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and provided a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to discuss the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up payinga huge sum/an exorbitant amount/ way more than it should have been by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's helpline was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling angry and suggest looking elsewhere for your tradesman needs.

My experience with Checkatrade became a total disaster. I hired a trader through their service to complete some essential home repairs. They seemed legitimate at first, but it resulted in a horrendous ordeal.

Despite I sent the full amount upfront, the work was never done. Contact dried up. It's been weeks, and I'm still left with unfinished repairs.

Their customer service has been unhelpful throughout this whole process. They offered no solutions. It feels like I've been robbed.
